Era of Elegance is a play-by-post text roleplay game set between the years of 1837 and 1901. It is now a time which marks an era known for its cultural advancements in business and society, and one that alters the opinion of morale. England's newest ruler, Queen Victoria, is a fiery young lady with a personality of strong prejudices and willful stubbornness, and has already begun to win the hearts of those around her.
There are many lives to be lived in Victorian England, however. Aristocrats spend their passing days attending numerous social events full of hearty meals, rich clothing, and saucy liasons.. but those of less fortune fight disease and succumb to wretched decisions to feed their own families. Gossip will always run high no matter what the level of wealth, traitors can often be found as near to someone as his own family, and the abundance of scandals to erupt at the quietest whispers will spread as fast as England's plague of greed, ambition, and love.
what's been happening

Again we are a little slow to update the main page.. but never fear, it is finally being done! The admins of Era of Elegance have opted to no longer identify months within the game. Instead, we will identify the season, which generally runs from the start of spring to about the middle of August.
Currently, the ton is IN SEASON. This means that characters are generally spending their time in London. We will update when the Season ends with the next update.
